Environmental security and social wellbeing is a major global threat. We aim to maximise our chances of building things that last for the next generation and inspire others to do the same.

A Contract With Nature

Whiskey making has a direct effect on the environment. From production to packaging, every day, we want to be one step closer to making products that don't hurt the environment. To help us achieve this, we joined Ireland's nationwide food and drink sustainability programme - Origin Green, led by Bord Bia.

The Origin Green Programme brings together Ireland's domestic food industry - from farmers to food producers, retailers to foodservice operators - with the common goal of sustainable food production.

We Start With Ourselves

Ireland ranks 2nd in the world for food security. We intend to make our own continued contribution to this. This is a lifelong project and we can't solely make a major impact. We are therefore intending to start by collaborating with our domestic and international partners to help us positively improve our own impact and performance.

How We Intend To Do This

This is simple. We are a small company today and this makes implementation of gradually increasing targets to producing in a sustainable manner very easy. In areas where we are unable to have a direct impact (e.g. supply chain), we choose to work with partners that do it well. Naturally as we continue to grow, our targets and our positive impact will increase seamlessly.

Discipline And Independent Oversight

With the help of Origin Green Ireland, we started by creating our first 5 year sustainability plan. The plan is independently verified by international testing and verification specialists, to ensure the targets are viable. Next, we are reviewed annually and monitored for progress against our targets.
